About The Position

We are currently hiring cashiers and customer service representatives starting at $15 an hour! Previous experience taken into consideration, and advancement is available. Successful applicants will have some previous Retail/cash drawer experience and be comfortable talking with customers. Our store is open 7 days/week and the work shift will vary. Candidates must be able to work full-time and have a flexible schedule, including evenings, Fridays, and at least 1 weekend day: Saturday or Sunday. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two to three years’ recent experience as a cashier or in customer service or equivalent cash management experience
  • Must be able to work full-time and have a flexible schedule, including evenings, Fridays, and at least 1 weekend day: Saturday or Sunday.

Responsibilities

  • Remains consistently friendly and courteous to all customers.
  • Computes or re-computes bill, itemized lists, and invoices showing amount due.
  • Makes change, accepts checks and credit cards, and issues receipts to customers.
  • Understands, applies, and follows cashier's standards as written.
  • Records amounts received and prepares reports of transactions.
  • Applies/processes cash refunds or issues credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise.
  • Promotes Summit Speed Card and processes applications.
  • Balances cash drawer and completes closeout sheet each day.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls.
  • Assists with merchandising duties as needed.
  • General housekeeping as necessary.
  • Promotes in-store specials.
  • Contributes to a positive workplace environment.
  • Processes returns and completes paperwork for warranty returns when a return specialist is not available.
  • Ensures retail location is clear of missing parts.
  • Stocks shelves and counters with merchandise.
  • Assists in setting up advertising displays or arranging merchandise on counters to promote sales.
  • Stamps, marks, or tags price on merchandise.
  • Obtains merchandise requested by customer and places merchandise in a bag or box.
  • Assists customers in carrying larger items to their vehicle.
  • Answers customer's questions and offers assistance or direction.
  • Greets customers when they enter the store and checks packages and receipts when exiting the store.
  • Understands, applies, and follows performance standards as written.
  • Contributes to a positive workplace environment.
