This position is essential for ensuring that all retail spaces within the portfolio adhere to the highest standards of retail practices and processes, ultimately leading to exceptional customer experiences and strong retail results. The Retail Business Manager will be responsible for consistent planning and execution, integrating observation, review, and analysis of both portfolio and team performance into their daily workflow. This role requires a proactive approach to the development of both self and team through training, coaching, and feedback, as well as managing recruitment and succession planning within the portfolio. Performance recovery is also a critical aspect of this role, ensuring that any issues are promptly addressed to maintain high standards of service and performance. In addition to driving portfolio performance, the Retail Business Manager must prioritize customer-centric decision-making. This involves managing portfolio scheduling to optimize productivity and customer outcomes, partnering with Training & Performance to enhance team capabilities, and holding themselves and their teams accountable for delivering positive customer experiences. Analyzing customer feedback and insights is crucial for taking actionable steps to enhance the overall customer experience across the portfolio. The Retail Business Manager will act as a vital link between the head office and retail locations, ensuring effective communication and cascading important information in a timely manner. Regular store visits are essential for planning and conducting purposeful engagements with the teams. The role also requires consideration of the local community and commercial outcomes in all business decisions, optimizing inventory management, and upholding compliance within the workflow. Fostering brand excellence is another key responsibility, where the Retail Business Manager must uphold and demonstrate Aesop's brand identity and values. This includes driving excellence in store environments, product presentation, and team presentation across their portfolio. Collaborating with marketing and visual merchandising teams to deliver on brand strategy is essential, as is staying informed about Aesop's positioning in the marketplace and proposing appropriate actions based on insights gathered.
