About The Position

The position of Barista is of great significance to Valley Wide Cooperative. A person in this position is accountable for fulfilling drink and food orders along with a strong customer service emphasis. Baristas are required to perform all required tasks with the utmost concentration and dedication. Baristas must be well versed in the standard operating procedures of the company.

Requirements

Must be willing to become certified in safe food handling upon hire.
Acknowledge all customers, employees, and vendors in a friendly and appropriate manner.
Ability to multitask and determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance.
Ability to communicate using proper telephone etiquette with customers, other employees, and vendors.
Must have a strong team player focus in all interactions.
Ability to properly handle money, give change and record multiple transactions efficiently and accurately.
Must exhibit a professional and positive image.

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or GED preferred.
Previous customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Acknowledge all customers, employees, and vendors.
Assist customers with drive-thru orders.
Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, or teas.
Prepare and serve menu items, such as pizzas and salads.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, clean or sanitize work areas, utensils or equipment.
Check temperatures of equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Order, receive, or stock supplies or products.
Wrap, label, and date food items for sale.
Receive and process customer payments.
Assist other employees.
Other duties as assigned.
