About The Position

This position covers shift shortages as assigned at all branches for the Teller and Personal Banking positions. Serves our customers by effectively and efficiently processing both financial and non-financial transactions and opening new accounts. Serving as our customer's primary point of contact, this position helps the bank build strong relationships by providing an outstanding community banking experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• AA in Accounting or Business Administration a plus.
• Customer service, teller, and/or personal banking experience required.
• Computer experience (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with banking related systems helpful.
• Great customer service skills and flexibility with schedule changes a must.

Responsibilities

• Build Strong Relationships by acting as the bank's primary contact with its customers, consistently providing an outstanding service experience for every bank customer.
• Open Personal and Business Accounts for New and Existing Customers: Perform personal banker functions as assigned, providing financial solutions for bank customers, develop and grow relationship banking by assessing needs and offering appropriate West Bank products and services.
• Effectively and Efficiently Process Customer Transactions: Perform teller functions as assigned, meeting and exceeding bank service standards, greeting and acknowledging each customer and making them feel welcome while closely following bank processes and security procedures.
• Work as a team with other tellers to complete daily tasks, demonstrating respect and professionalism, being prompt, and minimizing unplanned absences.
• Provide high levels of service to our internal colleagues with the understanding that our levels of internal service directly impact the service we can provide to our external customers.
• Be flexible and accepting of changes in schedule, assignments, responsibilities or hours worked.
• Perform branch capture functions as instructed by supervisor.
• Provide authorized signature on cashier's checks as needed, following approval by manager contacted by telephone or in person in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Business/Customer Development: Using a service centered approach, assist the bank in developing its customer base and product distribution by identifying customer needs and referring them to the appropriate person or product.
• Meet and/or exceed established referral expectations.
• Build Strong Communities: Participate in community events, including staffing at least two events and participating in at least two community festivals per year.
