About The Position

Responsible for overseeing retail banking operations, including branch profitability, regulatory compliance, and the management and development of Branch Managers.

Requirements

  • A minimum of the following education/experience is required: Bachelor’s degree in finance or business, or related field and 5-years’ experience in retail banking and management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily branch operations, ensuring compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
  • Frequently has on-site visits with branch managers to ensure proper and consistent development of all retail staff and helps managers meet banking profitability metrics.
  • Develops and implements strategies to increase deposits, loans, and other financial products.
  • Verifies that internal audit controls and procedures are being followed while also implementing and communicating new policies and procedures to staff.
  • Builds and maintains strong customer relationships by providing high-quality banking solutions and service.
  • Recruits, trains, and mentors branch staff to achieve performance targets and delivers excellent service.
  • Monitors and analyzes branch financial reports, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Ensures adherence to security protocols, risk management policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Represents the bank in the local community by participating in networking events and outreach programs.
  • Utilizes banking software and digital platforms to enhance efficiency and customer service.
  • Works with Branch Managers and Bank Operations Manager to ensure proper handling of customer matters involving theft, forgery, counterfeit, and potential loss.
  • Other duties as assigned.
