About The Position

The Retail Banking Executive is responsible for the overall coordination and management of a major segment of the company's bank activities or one or more of the bank's product lines. This position manages Retail Banking Centers and all their functions within a large region, developing and implementing strategies to grow market share. The Retail Banking Executive is responsible for managing sales activities, financial performance, client experience, compliance, and employee effectiveness through a coach-the-coach approach by closely working with Retail Market Managers. This role aligns and develops teams to achieve high performance, implements initiatives, and oversees the attainment of goals, while also executing corporate and region-based strategies and partnering with other lines of business to meet client needs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in Retail or Private Bank Market/Region Management role and/or related business experience.
  • Large team leadership experience is a must.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of Retail Banking products, services, and market trends.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and achieve business targets.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management practices in the banking industry.

Responsibilities

  • Coaches, leads, and manages Retail Market Managers to ensure all strategic initiatives are executed effectively.
  • Sets the vision for driving growth and profitability by executing on Retail Banking strategy within the region.
  • Provides visionary leadership to the Retail Banking team, fostering a culture of innovation and customer focus.
  • Collaborates with Retail Line of Business leadership to align goals with the overall organizational strategy.
  • Models and demonstrates First Horizon Bank culture, promoting a positive work culture and increasing team member engagement.
  • Ensures exceptional client experiences across all Retail Banking touchpoints.
  • Implements strategies to enhance client engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty.
  • Drives business growth by establishing and achieving goals and priorities.
  • Uses sales management tools and data to proactively identify performance gaps and implements action plans for improvement.
  • Establishes and nurtures relationships with key clients and partners to expand the client base.
  • Recruits, trains, develops, and retains a high-performing Retail Banking team.
  • Ensures the operational integrity of the banking centers and compliance with bank regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Optimizes processes and workflows within Retail Banking for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
