About The Position

The Retail Banker I is a customer liaison that is integral to delivering TD's Brand promise by utilizing financial expertise and consultative advice to assist Customers with their banking solutions/needs. This role contributes to the achievement of business objectives that enable growth through identifying appropriate TD solutions that help Customers achieve their financial goals and optimize their relationship with TD. The position requires proficiency in products, services, and routine transactions to identify opportunities to educate Customers on Bank products and services, ensuring a positive Customer experience. The role involves establishing and nurturing Customer relationships, making product recommendations, utilizing Customer relationship management tools, and independently resolving customer issues.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years' experience working with customers and/or sales.
  • Teller experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in customer conversations while educating them on products and services.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must maintain an active registration status with NMLS.

Nice To Haves

  • Notary License.
  • Experience in a customer service role.
  • Experience in a sales environment.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in products, services and routine transactions to identify opportunities to educate Customers on Bank products and services.
  • Establish and nurture Customer relationships by displaying product knowledge and actively listening to Customer needs.
  • Make product recommendations based on Customer needs and highlight product features and benefits.
  • Utilize Customer relationship management tools to proactively identify Customer solutions.
  • Independently resolve customer issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Participate in Customer outreach, servicing and advice activities.
  • Engage in conversations with customers about loan products and facilitate application intake.
  • Ensure compliance with operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations.
