About The Position
The Retail Banker I is a vital customer liaison role at TD, integral to delivering the bank's brand promise through financial expertise and consultative advice. This position is focused on advising customers regarding their banking solutions and needs, contributing to the achievement of business objectives that enable growth. The Retail Banker I identifies appropriate TD solutions that help customers achieve their financial goals and optimize their relationship with the bank. This role requires proficiency in products, services, and routine transactions to educate customers on banking offerings and refer them to appropriate team members or internal partners, ensuring a positive customer experience. The Retail Banker I must possess a broad knowledge and understanding of the full product suite, services, and processes of the business area, characterized by low to moderate complexity and risk. Responsibilities include making product recommendations based on customer needs, highlighting product features and benefits, and supporting customers through challenging times and life events. The role also involves utilizing Customer Relationship Management tools to proactively assess customer needs, identify solutions, and engage in outbound sales activities. The Retail Banker I evaluates issues and problems based on established practices and precedents, explains complex information within the team, and builds strong working relationships with customers and related teams. In addition to customer outreach and servicing, the Retail Banker I engages in conversations about loan products and facilitates application intake. Maintaining an active registration status with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is a requirement for this position. The role demands superior customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and excellent communication skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Retail Banker I is expected to demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making and effective problem-solving while being proficient in Microsoft Office. A notary license is preferred but not mandatory.
