About The Position
JOIN OUR TEAM FOR OUR RETAIL BAKERY IN THE HEART OF GLASSBORO! 557 Delsea Drive, Glassboro, NJ 08028 As a Bakery Associate, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, display, and sale of fresh baked goods. This includes packaging items, stocking bakery cases, maintaining an attractive presentation, and providing excellent customer service. You will help ensure products are fresh, properly labeled, and readily available for our customers. Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM – 1:30 PM. Weekend availability is required, and holidays are mandatory. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoy interacting with customers. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. Responsibilities also include following written and verbal instructions, safely operating bakery and deli equipment (as needed), and maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards in compliance with FDA GMP guidelines. All team members must follow established policies and safety procedures in a drug-free workplace. Candidates must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including 8-10 hour shifts, 5 days a week, weekends, and holidays. Willing and able to carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations. Willing and able to stand for prolonged periods with or without reasonable accommodations. Willing and able to read documents and labels. Willing and able to perform tasks that include pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying. Experience in customer service and basic math preferred. Work Environment: Duties are performed primarily in the Bakery department and front counter. Work includes walking, standing for prolonged periods, and lifting deli products weighing up to 50 pounds. Duties also include frequent interaction with customers and associates. Physical Demands: Must be able to frequently lift 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
