About The Position
As a Retail Backroom Coordinator at Sierra, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store's backroom and merchandising processes. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and are eager to contribute to the growth of their careers. You will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring that associates are processing efficiently and effectively. Your leadership will help create an excellent customer experience by engaging with customers and maintaining a clean and organized store. You will model exceptional customer service and promote a culture of honesty and integrity within the team. In this role, you will orchestrate truck deliveries, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor. You will train and mentor associates on merchandising and processing principles, ensuring that all merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded. Communication is key, as you will work closely with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure an efficient flow of goods to the sales floor. You will monitor the productivity of your team, providing coaching and support as necessary, and organize back stock for easy replenishment. Maintaining organizational cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom area is essential, as is ensuring compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs. You will communicate effectively with management and associates to set and address priorities, providing progress updates as needed. Additionally, you will promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment for all associates and customers. This position may also involve supporting store shrink reduction goals and participating in various other duties as assigned.
