The Retail Backroom Coordinator is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team. This role also ensures an excellent customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The coordinator will role model exceptional customer service, create a positive internal and external customer experience, and promote a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality. They will orchestrate truck delivery, prioritize merchandise processing, and train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles. The position involves ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded, and communicating with the Coordinator on Duty for efficient flow of goods to the sales floor. The coordinator monitors team productivity, coaches as necessary, organizes and rotates back stock, and maintains merchandising philosophy and signage standards. They are also responsible for maintaining organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area, ensuring compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, and communicating effectively with management and Associates. The role includes providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback, partnering with Management on Associate training needs, ensuring adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures, promoting credit and loyalty programs, supporting shrink reduction goals, and promoting safety awareness.
