Retail Sales Attendants are responsible for providing prompt and courteous service to Hershey’s Chocolate World guests in any of our shops on the retail floor. They welcome and greet guests, initiate conversations, answer all questions related to our retail line or products, restock, and operate a cash register. Retail Sales Attendants must be approachable and seek to understand our guests’ needs. The required skills will be learned primarily through on–the-job training. This is a part-time position located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The company will not provide relocation assistance or other employment benefits for this position. There is a limited number of weekday daytime shifts available during non-peak seasons. Hershey’s Chocolate World requires a focus on exceptional customer service and expects employees to be approachable, courteous, knowledgeable about our products, able to clearly communicate with guests and assist them with questions, and provide general information to guests with a high level of professionalism.
Requirements
- Must maintain a neat appearance and adhere to the uniform standards
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have problem-solving skills
- Ability to take initiative
- Must be able to walk or stand for 5-8 hours
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 25-50 lbs with the possibility of overhead lifting
- Requires bending, stooping, and twisting
- Must be able to tolerate repetitive motion of the hands, fingers, and wrists
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and fellow coworkers and function effectively as part of a team
- Must have basic math skills (addition and subtraction)
- Must be able to operate a cash register
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required
Nice To Haves
- General retail knowledge a plus
- Retail sales work experience is preferred but not required
