About The Position
Hershey’s Chocolate World is the most popular brand experience in the world, attracting nearly four million guests annually to its Hershey, Pennsylvania location. Guests visit for attractions, dining, and shopping for souvenirs, treats, and gifts. The exceptional customer service provided by the team is crucial to the guest experience, with a mission to create extraordinary impressions through its people. Retail Sales Attendants are responsible for providing prompt and courteous service to guests in any of the retail shops. This includes welcoming and greeting guests, initiating conversations, answering product-related questions, restocking, and operating a cash register. Attendants must be approachable and attentive to guests' needs, with required skills primarily learned through on-the-job training. This is a part-time position in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and does not include relocation assistance or other employment benefits. Weekday daytime shifts are limited during non-peak seasons. Requirements
- Minimum Age: 16 years of age or older
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holiday shifts
- Must maintain a neat appearance and adhere to the uniform standards
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have problem-solving skills
- Ability to take initiative
- Must be able to walk or stand for 5-8 hours
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 25-50 lbs with the possibility of overhead lifting
- Requires bending, stooping, and twisting
- Must be able to tolerate repetitive motion of the hands, fingers, and wrists
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and fellow coworkers and function effectively as part of a team
- Must have basic math skills (addition and subtraction)
- Must be able to operate a cash register
