About The Position

Sell specific lines of merchandise such as apparel, jewelry, snacks, souvenirs, and related lines of merchandise for retail operation. The primary responsibility is that of Cashier with cash handling experience a must. Ability to interact and sell to guests in a positive and upbeat manner. Must be able to work independently and alone for up to 6 hours per shift with opening and/or closing shifts. Flexibility of scheduling with all shifts including weekends and holidays. Cleaning and restocking of shop on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and professional service to customers.
• Greet and welcome customers upon arrival.
• Obtain or receive merchandise, total bill, accept cash and credit payments, and make change for customers.
• Post room charges accurately and promptly.
• Remove and record amount of cash in register at end of shift.
• Follow and enforce all cash handling policies and procedures.
• Wrap or bag merchandise for customers and invite customers to return upon departure.
• Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
• Maintain shelves, counters, or tables in a neat and clean manner.
• Set up advertising displays or arrange merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales.
• Mark merchandise with price.
• Answer customer’s questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
• Up-sell purchases when possible.
• Sign in and out gift shop keys.
• Verify goods to invoices when merchandise is delivered.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
