About The Position

As a Retail Associate at Maumee Bay Lodge's Gift Shop, you will be responsible for assisting customers, handling transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store. Benefits: PTO Holiday Pay including your birthday Discounted Meal Plan during shift Use of recreation facilities during off time 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Room, Food & Retail Discounts Ongoing Training and Career Development Responsibilities: Greet guests in a friendly, outgoing manner as the enter the store Assist customers in finding products and specific sizes Demonstrate new or unusual items to guests Up-sell and suggestion sell on every purchase Open and/or close store according to established procedures Process transactions using the POS system according to standard operating procedures Answer phone in a professional manner Maintain a clean and organized store Stock shelves and merchandise displays Assist with counting inventory, as needed Requirements: Must be 18 or older Previous retail experience preferred Customer service skills Cash / Credit card handling experience preferred Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry 50 lbs. Must have full range of motion. Must be able to climb a stepladder. Must be able to stand for long periods. Must have outstanding communication skills. Must be friendly, helpful, and outgoing.
