About The Position

As a retail associate located in pointe discovery, you are expected to assist guests with retail purchases, while maintaining a polished, professional and engaging demeanor. This also includes assisting with the stocking, merchandising and overall cleanliness of the retail space. On occasion, you will be expected to assist with the check in and execution of resort activities.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate computer or sales register equipment necessary to perform the job
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with associates and customers
  • Ability to read, count, and write
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to function under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions
  • Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • 1-2 years retail experience preferred
  • Experience in retail operations, preferred, with a proven record of effective performance.

Responsibilities

  • Meet store sales goals
  • Utilize the elevated levels of sales and service to maximize sales performance
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the merchandise
  • Comply with all sales related policies and procedures
  • Provide the highest level of customer service
  • Build and maintain repeat clientele by following through on special requests
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Keep selling floor and merchandise neat, organized and stocked
  • Assist with receiving, tagging and merchandising new product as instructed by the Retail Buyer
  • Assist with entering PO’s into Retail Pro as instructed by Buyer
  • Assist in the maintenance of all inventory in the stockroom and on the selling floor
  • Comply with all Point-of-Sale policies and procedures
  • Participate in quarterly physical inventory
  • Properly execute all relevant register functions
  • Adhere to work schedule, inclusive of time and attendance
  • Participate in all relevant training and development seminars, programs and meetings as directed by store management
  • Maintain bank accounting accuracy
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all recreation offerings and be able to clearly articulate to guests
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
  • Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
  • Process Activities Charges to guest accounts when needed
  • Maintain Library of Resources
  • Assist with Maps and Directions
  • Work with Guest Services to insure accurate reservations and booking process
  • Distribute Activities Sheets to resort guests and be an ambassador of all recreation programs
  • Maintain the company image and vision statement
  • Make optimal use of financial resources
  • Participate in ongoing training and encourage the personal development of all associates
  • Continuous evaluation and improvement of the operations
  • To be an integral part of the development of future company projects
  • To provide an exceptional guest experience
