About The Position

The Retail Associate is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while ensuring smooth and accurate retail transactions. This role supports store operations by maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment, assisting guests with purchases, and following all company policies and safety procedures. Retail Associates play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience and promoting sales.

Requirements

  • Currently attending high school (required) or possess a high school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy under pressure.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with POS systems.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25 lbs. consistently.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, stretching, stooping, and reaching overhead.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on hard or uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to work flexible and varying hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Promote and practice safe work habits at all times.
  • Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Comply with all company, local, state, and federal safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment securely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area, including supplies such as bags and receipt paper.
  • Inform guests about promotions, discounts, and loyalty programs to enhance their shopping experience and increase sales.
  • Restock merchandise on shelves and displays, ensuring items are neatly arranged and accessible.
  • Address customer concerns or complaints professionally, seeking assistance from management when necessary.
  • Adhere to company cash handling procedures, including balancing cash drawers and completing end-of-day reports.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of materials and emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to support smooth store operations and assist with other tasks as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support retail operations.
