ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Serve as a positive representation of Heritage Cooperative’s Core Values Provide Superior Customer Service Highest Standards of Integrity and Trust Continuous Improvement Being a Good Partner Customer Service and Sales Provide prompt, courteous service by assisting customers with product selection, answering questions, and offering knowledgeable recommendations. Escort customers to products and suggest complementary items based on their needs. Handle customer inquiries related to product offerings, pricing, billing, and availability. Process transactions accurately using cash registers, including cash, checks, and credit card payments. Load and unload customer purchases safely into vehicles. Report customer feedback, concerns, or signs of dissatisfaction to management promptly. Perform general office duties such as answering phones, filing, copying, and handling paperwork. Support store management in maximizing sales and profitability through excellent customer service and execution of key business initiatives. Order Fulfillment Prepare customer and delivery orders by processing requests, pulling materials, packing items, and staging orders in designated areas. Off-load delivery trucks and safely receive incoming merchandise. Utilize forklifts and other equipment safely to store products in appropriate bin locations. Organize warehouse areas to support efficient inventory flow and accessibility. Maintain clean, orderly warehouse, drive-through, and work areas. Inventory and Merchandising Assist with stocking, replenishment, and product display to maintain an attractive store environment. Participate in physical inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records. Abide by all safety regulations to ensure safety of oneself, coworkers and customers Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (or currently pursuing).
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record (if operating company vehicles or equipment).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification (training will be provided).
  • Basic math skills and ability to accurately handle cash transactions.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and operational guidelines.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, point-of-sale systems, and reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous retail, warehouse, agricultural, or customer service experience.
  • Experience operating forklifts or material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of inventory systems and merchandising practices.
  • Familiarity with agricultural, feed, or farm supply products.
  • Experience working in both customer-facing and warehouse environments.
