About The Position

Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center is an iconic New York City attraction, offering breathtaking views of the city skyline from the Observation Deck. We are seeking dedicated and customer-oriented individuals to join our team! As a valuable member of the team, you are the face of the famous popular observation deck and will be responsible for creating uniquely unforgettable experiences for our guests. Our team members are empowered to create singular moments by displaying a strong attention to detail and anticipating our guests’ needs. Applicants should demonstrate an ability to quickly learn and communicate information pertaining to Top of the Rock as well as other aspects of Rockefeller Center.

Requirements

  • Friendly, approachable demeanor with strong customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and solid organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior retail or merchandising experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
  • Ability to work assigned schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic computer proficiency or ability to learn POS systems quickly.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist guests with merchandise selection and process transactions accurately, including closing paperwork.
  • Support achievement of sales goals and KPI targets through strong customer engagement and accountability for individual performance.
  • Maintain attractive signage, displays, and promotional materials; rotate merchandise to reflect seasonal or sales priorities.
  • Restock inventory, monitor stock levels, and communicate replenishment needs to management.
  • Keep merchandise faced, folded, labeled, and organized to maintain a clean and professional sales floor.
  • Operate POS systems and troubleshoot basic issues when needed.
  • Support inventory control and loss prevention efforts.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked retail environment.
  • Follow company policies and procedures and report concerns to management.
  • Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned.
  • Work independently and collaborate with team members to deliver a positive guest experience.
