About The Position

We are recruiting a Retail Associate that would be responsible for overseeing all front -end operations, cashiering duties, and stock replenishment in a high -volume wine and spirits retail store. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably in a wine and spirits store
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy cases of merchandise (up to 50 lbs)
  • Familiarity with point -of -sale (POS) systems and inventory management software
  • Availability to work flexible schedules, including some holidays and weekends

Responsibilities

  • Cashiering
  • Operate cash register and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Handle cash, credit/debit card, and other payment methods
  • Resolve customer issues or complaints in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain cash drawer accountability and balance drawers at the end of each shift
  • Stock Management
  • Monitor inventory levels and restock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed
  • Receive and process incoming merchandise shipments
  • Ensure proper stock rotation and organization of products
  • Maintain a clean and organized stockroom and sales floor
  • Front End Management
  • Supervise and train front -end staff, including cashiers and stock associates
  • Create staff schedules and assign tasks to ensure adequate coverage
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment for the front -end team
  • Analyze sales data and implement strategies to improve customer experience and sales performance
  • Customer Service
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience
  • Assist customers with product selection, recommendations, and inquiries
  • Stay up -to -date with product knowledge and industry trends
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally
