Requirements

  • No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred).
  • 2 (or less) years of experience in a position or specialization.
  • Experience interacting with and serving consumers.
  • Skill operating Inventory and Point of Sales (POS) systems, and various other retail software tools.
  • 16 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain store and visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  • Retrieve merchandise from stock room and other inventory locations to restock the sales floor.
  • Perform cash register transactions efficiently and accurately, including sales, returns, and exchanges.
  • Connect consumers to the company loyalty programs.
  • Contribute to the profitability of the store by receiving and processing incoming and outgoing products accurately and efficiently.
  • Respond to consumer questions regarding product features, benefits, and availability.
  • Assist consumers with buying decisions by understanding their needs related to merchandise.
  • Acquire necessary knowledge about products, policies, procedures, and programs to execute day-to-day operations.
