About The Position

The Associate position at Valley Bank involves providing exceptional customer service by performing various banking transactions and utilizing technology to enhance service efficiency. The role requires maintaining compliance with bank policies and actively participating in training and development.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform banking transactions efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with banking technology and equipment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
  • Knowledge of bank policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all transactions required by customers using appropriate technology.
  • Process deposits and withdrawals, including loan payments and holiday club payments.
  • Sell money orders and cashiers' checks.
  • Process and balance individual cash boxes and complete necessary office work.
  • File signature cards and complete end-of-day proof.
  • Maintain and balance a cash box.
  • Utilize Teller Scanning Equipment, Cash Recycling, and Cash Dispensing machines.
  • Support customers in the use of Coin Machines.
  • Meet customer expectations and achieve service quality standards.
  • Maintain knowledge and compliance with the Bank's Code of Conduct and all policies and procedures.
  • Participate in and complete required training and development experiences.
