About The Position

The Retail Associate Team Lead role is focused on managing retail staff, achieving sales and profitability goals, and contributing to the overall success of the retail store. This position requires effective communication of product knowledge to customers and maintaining high standards of store condition and visual merchandising.

Requirements

  • Previous retail experience, including managerial responsibilities, required.
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems setup and an understanding of warehouse management systems preferred.
  • Good attendance and performance record in previous positions.
  • Ability to perform tasks with accuracy and organization skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team is essential.
  • Great interpersonal skills when dealing with customers.
  • Ability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to sustain high level of physical activity related to lifting, carrying, pushing, and moving products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, twist, turn, bend, climb stairs, and walk for the entire shift duration or up to 8 hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in outdoor recreation, i.e. climbing, backpacking, hiking, camping, trail running, skiing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Understand all CampSaver products and effectively communicate that knowledge with customers.
  • Manage retail staff including all scheduling.
  • Assist customers with exchanges and returns.
  • Recommend gear and apparel to customers.
  • Contribute as a team member by providing input for improvement.
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
  • Address issues that arise with customers.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
