Requirements
- KNOWLEDGE OF: General office standards of dress and behavior
- Basic math, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals
- SKILLS IN: Ability to write notes and brief instructions using correct spelling and grammar
- Deliver friendly and efficient customer service
- Speak clearly and present information orally
- Ability to speak, read, understand, and write English
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
- Ability to learn to operate equipment and perform a variety of repetitive tasks
- Ability to do heavy lifting
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to follow time schedules for meal preparations and serving
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six (6) months previous experience working with the public in a customer service role.
Nice To Haves
- Extensive cashier experience, experience with catering, fast food service, any prep work or any food handling experience.
- Experience working in kitchens of facilities or institutions that provide meals to large groups of people daily.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for cash register operation and handling large amounts of cash.
- Responsible for maintaining all charges in the appropriate cost center.
- Provides high quality customer service, including efficient sales practice and proper food sanitation.
- Operates cash register with an accuracy of 99.85% (plus or minus).
- Sets up appropriate cashier bank.
- Documents cash received and charges made.
- Identifies customer needs and refers to appropriate department for follow-up when necessary.
- Collects data for cash control.
- Stocking refrigerators with beverages, condiments etc.
- Cleaning, sanitizing, polishing general work areas, this includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and throwing trash.
- Prepare and gather items needed for meal service.
- Provides exceptional service to all guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
