This Federal Work Study position will support current students by providing a chance for students to have their products and artwork be sold and made available for display to the general public . In addition, this position will complement and reinforce a Federal Work Study student’s educational program or vocational goals by: P roviding customer service experience in a retail environment and enhancing student’s organization and management skills.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of retail principles and customer service
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willing to learn retail and ecommerce operations, and marketing
- Interested in fashion, social media, design, arts and etc.
Nice To Haves
- Active on or interested in social media, and retail / customer service experience
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
- Maintain in-stock and presentable condition in retail stores
- Assist with stock management
- Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
- Process POS (point of sale) purchases
- Assist with e-commerce purchases and customer service
- Assist with e-commerce website management (content and product updates)
- Assist with e-commerce product presentation (photoshoot, styling, lookbook, etc)
- Assist with generating, editing, publishing and sharing engaging social medias content
- Report and suggest ways to improve sales
- Open and close retail stores
