About The Position

Goodmiles Running Company in Brookfield, WI is looking for a full-time Assistant Store Manager to join our team and help create the best running shoe fitting experience in Wisconsin! If you're passionate about running, walking, or an active lifestyle – and you're ready to support and coach a team while driving store performance – we want you to help our customers find the perfect gear for their goals. As the Assistant Store Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering the Goodmiles experience. You'll guide customers through expert shoe fittings using our Volumental foot scanner and product knowledge, ensuring they leave confident and motivated to reach their fitness goals. You'll help maintain a welcoming, organized, and inspiring environment for every customer. You'll also support the Store Manager in developing a high-performing team of Fit Experts. That includes coaching, motivating, and assisting with training to ensure team members are equipped to deliver exceptional service. You'll step in to lead daily operations, delegate tasks effectively, and help the team execute projects, promotions, and sales events efficiently. Operationally, you'll help keep the store running smoothly. This includes maintaining displays, restocking products, ensuring opening and closing routines are completed accurately, and supporting the overall organization and efficiency of the store. You'll also represent Goodmiles in the community by participating in runs, expos, and events, and by supporting partnerships with local gyms and wellness groups. Your engagement will help build awareness, loyalty, and excitement for Goodmiles in Brookfield. Requirements

  • Passion for running, walking, fitness, or an active lifestyle
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
  • Ability to motivate and support a team while maintaining a positive environment
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with POS systems
  • Customer-first mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Flexible availability – evenings, weekends, and peak periods

Nice To Haves

  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required
