About The Position

The retail store Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store. He or she is responsible for developing strategies to improve customer service, sales and increase store profitability while maintaining high store standards and a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals
  • Ability to follow established processes.
  • Experience and understanding of inventory controls
  • Ability to operate a computer and associated software
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong math skills
  • High School education with some college preferred
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Retail experience, convenience store retail experience is preferred
  • Able to sit, bend, and reach over head as part of daily office activities
  • Able to hear effectively on phone to take messages and answer inquiries
  • Able to read documents with fine print.
  • Able to use a keyboard
  • Able to lift 60+ pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Retail experience, convenience store retail experience is preferred
  • High School education with some college preferred

Responsibilities

  • Follow and enforce all Company Policies and established procedure in store operations
  • Assist the Retail Manager in maintaining appropriate staffing based on business needs
  • Follow daily operating procedures established by the Retail Manager
  • Coach, counsel, train and discipline employees as needed
  • Complete daily banking duties
  • Maintain quality brand image standards
  • Maintain all inventory, stocking and tracking of inventory
  • Maintain monthly promotions, insure all POS advertising and signage is properly posted
  • Change prices as directed by the Retail Manager
  • Customer service as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Retail Manager and Director of Retail
