WildSide Park is seeking a Retail Assistant Manager who is passionate about developing teams, delivering outstanding guest service, and driving retail excellence. This role supports the daily operation of retail outlets by leading from the sales floor, coaching team members, and assisting with administrative and operational responsibilities. Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in retail or sales environments.
  • Strong background in customer/guest service excellence.
  • Experience with cash handling, credit card transactions, and POS systems.
  • Experience with retail merchandising and visual display standards.
  • Proven ability to train, motivate, and develop retail teams.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to complete CPR/AED training.
  • Willingness to obtain an ABC License and ServSafe certification as required.

Responsibilities

  • Set and model top-tier standards for guest service, store presentation, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure guests are consistently treated with professionalism, courtesy, and care.
  • Handle guest and team member questions, concerns, and issues with compassion and confidence.
  • Manage daily ticketed retail and special events, ensuring smooth execution and a positive guest experience throughout the day.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for guest concerns related to ticketed events, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Drive financial performance by developing a motivated, sales-focused retail team.
  • Actively coach, train, and develop team members to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Hold team members accountable while addressing performance and behavior professionally.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, improvement, and innovation within daily operations.
  • Partner with merchandise planning and leadership teams on product launches, visual standards, signage, and displays.
  • Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, displayed, priced, and visually appealing.
  • Maintain a strong passion for product knowledge and sales engagement.
  • Support employee recognition by actively acknowledging strong performance and improvement.
  • Present a professional appearance and set expectations through dress and conduct.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of POS and inventory systems to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with developing and updating retail procedures and standards.
  • Support team communication through staff meetings and information sharing.
  • Ensure shop safety standards are met and retail assets are protected.
  • Assist with scheduling and payroll management to meet budget expectations.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
