About The Position

The Assistant General Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving store profitability and operational excellence. This position is responsible for ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) are met or exceeded, leading a team to provide exceptional customer service, and executing store operations effectively. The role also involves assuming leadership responsibilities in the absence of the General Manager and fostering a culture of consumer centricity and inclusivity within the store.

Requirements

  • 4-year college or university degree in business, retail management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a retail environment, with at least 18 months in Store Management.
  • Experience managing high-level retail image and delivering consumer in-store experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading discussions in diverse groups.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members.
  • Well-developed English language skills in speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Ability to maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Willingness to travel domestically by car and air.

  • Drive store profitability by ensuring KPIs are met or exceeded.
  • Utilize expertise to serve and sell to customers, achieving operational excellence.
  • Execute store operations flawlessly, including product flow and cashier procedures.
  • Lead team members to balance service and operations for an exceptional consumer experience.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the General Manager.
  • Drive the execution of established policies, procedures, initiatives, and directives.
  • Model a culture of consumer centricity within the store.
  • Inspire consumer loyalty to the brand.
  • Champion individual uniqueness and celebrate diversity within the team.
  • Monitor resource allocation within assigned areas to drive profitability.
  • Utilize store and market data for commercial decision-making.
  • Coach store team on operational best practices and consumer engagement.
  • Understand consumer behavior and coach the team to meet expectations.
  • Create and drive a service culture centered on the consumer.
  • Communicate and demonstrate Brand Values and Retail Mission.
  • Implement strategic plans for seasonal Brand and product training.
  • Partner with General Manager on HR planning, recruitment, and development initiatives.
  • Set clear expectations and targets for store performance and accountability.
  • Motivate and inspire the store team to achieve goals and maximize performance.
  • Ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures.
  • Lead by example in consumer service management.
  • Collaborate and share best practices with peers to enhance District performance.
  • Demonstrate a desire to learn and seize development opportunities.
