About The Position

Our client, an Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking a full-time Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Paralegal to join its Los Angeles office. This role supports both local attorneys and the firm’s national Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Practice Group, working on complex, high-profile matters across multiple jurisdictions. The position reports to the Practice Group Leader and works under the direction of attorneys and senior paraprofessionals. The ideal candidate brings strong bankruptcy experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required
4–10 years of bankruptcy law experience, preferably in a law firm
Strong knowledge of bankruptcy procedures and court rules
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PDF tools, document management, and timekeeping software (Elite preferred)
High level of discretion and professionalism
Willingness to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, interim, and final fee applications, court filings, and bankruptcy-specific documentation
Conduct lien searches and assist with analysis
Support preparation of schedules and statements of financial affairs
Prepare, reconcile, and track Proofs of Claim and related claim schedules
Track statutory and case deadlines and prepare related memoranda
Ensure compliance with local bankruptcy rules
Collaborate with clients and financial advisors to prepare monthly operating reports
Manage ballot packages and prepare charts and tally reports
Support additional assignments and special projects as needed
