About The Position

This is a retail position requiring strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, and an outgoing personality. The role involves working effectively with staff and volunteers and being able to relate to people from diverse backgrounds including different races, faiths, and incomes. The ReStore Donation Pick-Up Ambassador is specifically responsible for safely driving the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville (HFHGN) donation truck, as well as loading and unloading donations collected from the Nashville area. This also includes the responsibility for maintaining the truck, ensuring its mechanical soundness, safety, and cleanliness when assigned. This position is strictly on-site and does not offer remote work capabilities.

  • Ability to conduct all activities in accordance with Habitat principles

  • Screening donations to determine usability for ReStore Stock merchandise
  • Rotating and facing merchandise on shelves
  • Assisting customers by locating merchandise
  • Cross training as required by Management
  • Proper packing and securing of donated items
  • Unloading and loading donations at designated ReStore locations
  • Providing efficient professional service to donors and sharing the Habitat ReStore mission
  • Ensuring that vehicles are properly maintained on driving days, using weekly inspection sheet
  • Maintaining good housekeeping standards by cleaning and dusting area as needed
  • Assisting in Donation pick –up as needed
  • Assisting in Deconstruction as needed, performing construction tasks related to DeConstruction
  • Preparing Deconstruction inventory: identify, label, record merchandise
  • Participating in Annual Review Process
  • Complying with company policies and procedures
  • Participating and supporting agency activities as requested
  • Participating and supporting agency activities as needed, including staff support at the build site
  • Ensuring that all Habitat for Humanity International and Affiliate Policies and Guidelines are followed
  • Other duties as directed by management
  • Providing customer assistance at all times
  • Adhering to all safety regulations, both company, OSHA and TDOT
  • Regular and reliable attendance required
