Restorative Tech - Acute Care Therapy - Day Shift
About The Position
The Restorative tech in acute care therapy implements a program prescribed by a licensed therapist (physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist). The restorative tech may complete ambulation, transfers, range of motion, activities of daily living (ADL) skill practice, as well as other functions prescribed by the supervising therapist. The restorative tech sees patients from adolescent through the geriatric age range in all units at Cox South. This program is only available in acute care therapy at Cox South and is provided as a support to patients and nursing units but is not a billable service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills, human relations skills and organizational skills required.
- Positive attitude and superior customer service abilities.
- Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team, seeking assistance from supervising therapist as indicated.

Nice To Haves
- Undergraduate degree in therapy related program, nursing assistant certification, or therapy degree from international program that does not transfer to US.
- Previous experience as a therapy tech or nursing assistant
