Job Summary: As a Restorative Specialist, youll bring focus, critical thinking, and creativity to every interaction. Youll support the Interdisciplinary Team in helping Participants maintain safety, strength, balance, and independence. Youll work both in the center and in Participants homes to implement exercise programs, restorative activities, and home safety interventions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and seeing meaningful results from their efforts.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Basic knowledge of exercise programs and restorative care.
Requires valid State drivers license with a clean driving record.
Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, TB Screening
Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.
Is subject to frequent interruptions.
Must be constantly alert for Participants safety.
Is subject to lifting, carrying, and supporting Participants.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with the frail or elderly population is a plus but not required.
Independent thinker who can analyze challenges and create solutions.
Calm, confident, and direct in communication with Participants and team members.
Team-oriented but able to work autonomously and make decisions when needed.
Focused on results and Participant outcomes rather than just process.
Adaptable to different work settings, including Participants homes.
Committed to safety and maintaining high standards of care.
CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain after hire well provide the training!)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Implement individual and group exercise programs in the center using a variety of equipment
Perform delegated restorative exercises safely and effectively, documenting results on flow sheets.
Conduct home safety checks and assist Participants with home exercise programs.
Deliver and set up durable medical equipment and track usage.
Provide staff education on wellness programs, fall prevention, body mechanics, and posture.
Educate Participants and their families on exercises, safe mobility, and functional independence.
Maintain clean and organized treatment areas, including sanitizing surfaces and replacing linens.
Apply heat/cold modalities per policy.
Track wellness forms and document Participant interactions accurately in electronic medical records.
Transport Participants and equipment safely throughout the center.
Communicate changes or concerns immediately to therapists or supervisors.
Participate in Quality Initiative training as required.
Other duties as assigned.
