The Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) is responsible for the planning and implementation of the Resident-Centered Restorative Program for the residents of the Skilled Nursing Facility and Swing beds in the Acute Unit. Under the supervision of the SNF DON and the Physical Therapist plan of care, the RNA will function within the framework, philosophy and policies of Bear Valley Community Healthcare District (BVCHD). The RNA is responsible for ensuring and providing nursing restorative care to residents so to attain or maintain the highest possible physical, mental, and emotional well-being possible without declines unless the decline is documented as unavoidable. BVCHD is committed to proving care that recognizes each resident’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs beyond the traditional nursing procedures and protocols. The RNA provides Holistic level of care to residents that is designed to strengthen muscles, assist with mobility, promote independence, and prevent functional declines in accordance with BVCHD policies and procedures, evident-based practices and applicable State / Federal regulations.
