This job opportunity announcement (JOA) will be used to fill one (1) vacant Restorative Nurse Assistant (RNA) position within the Community Living Center at the Hampton VA Medical Center. The Restorative Nurse Assistant (RNA) plays a key role in promoting residents' independence and functional abilities within the Community Living Center. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Restorative Nurse Coordinator, the RNA implements individualized restorative care plans aimed at maintaining or improving mobility, strength, and daily living skills. Responsibilities include assisting residents with range-of-motion exercises, ambulation, positioning, and the use of assistive devices, while encouraging participation in self-care activities. The RNA collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary team to support residents' physical and emotional well-being, and must demonstrate strong communication skills, patience, and a commitment to Veteran-centered care. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability for weekends and holidays. Candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a commitment to Veteran-centered care.
