Requirements

• Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Iowa
• Ability to work tactfully and professionally with residents, families, visitors, and staff
• Strong commitment to serving others
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts, as required

Nice To Haves

• Prior direct care experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care under the supervision of a nurse and in collaboration with your care team
• Provide restorative and therapy services under the direction of a Licensed Therapist and/or RN
• Instruct residents on proper techniques for exercises and functional activities
• Assist residents with ambulation and exercise programs as outlined by the therapist and care plan
• Provide physical support with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, standing, and exercising
• Assist with organizing, cleaning, laundry, meals, and other assigned household tasks
• Promptly respond to resident calls for assistance and provide compassionate, person-centered care
• Accurately chart resident interactions and communicate effectively with team members
• Ensure residents’ rights are respected and upheld at all times
• Participate in an on-call rotation, as scheduled
