About The Position

Aegis Therapies, one of the nation’s leading providers of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join our supportive team and reap the benefits of some of the best career advantages in the industry. As a CNA/Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs. You will receive full restorative training provided onsite, and no restorative experience is necessary, although a CNA Certification is required. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the restorative care of patients as directed, with exclusive restorative responsibilities such as ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care, while having limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position. As a Rehabilitation Technician, you will provide support as an active member of our rehabilitation team, which includes physical, occupational, and speech therapy. You will assist patients to their therapy groups, complete essential administrative tasks, and prepare the therapy room for patient care. Additionally, you will coordinate Telehealth EnerG by Aegis, which focuses on a holistic approach to health and wellness.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice.
  • Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
  • Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work with the therapy team.
  • Deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
  • Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
  • Perform exclusive restorative responsibilities such as ambulation, transfer training, and bed mobility.
  • Provide support as an active member of the rehabilitation team.
  • Assist patients to their therapy groups.
  • Complete essential administrative tasks.
  • Prepare therapy room for patient care.
  • Coordinate Telehealth EnerG by Aegis.
