About The Position

Riverside Lifelong Health & Rehabilitation Mathews is currently hiring for a part-time day shift Restorative CNA! The position works under the supervision of the Nursing Manager/Supervisor and involves administering restorative care treatments as determined by the interdisciplinary team. The Restorative CNA is responsible for documenting restorative care in EMR and monitoring CNA documentation when they provide restorative care to residents.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• Restorative nursing experience (Preferred)
• Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire (Required)
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
• First Aid - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)

Responsibilities

• Maintains appropriate medical records for each patient.
• Documents restorative care in EMR.
• Monitors for compliance in documentation of CNA's providing restorative care.
• Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety/dignity issues.
• Follows policies and procedures of the facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
• Performs restorative care programs outlined for each resident as determined by the interdisciplinary team.
• Provides feedback to the team.
• Utilizes opportunities to coach staff on restorative care and safety techniques.
• Follows universal precautions, proper infection control, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.
