About The Position

Newport News, Virginia Overview Works under the supervision of Nursing Manager/Supervisor and therapy department. Administers restorative care treatments as determined by the interdisciplinary team. Documents restorative care in EMR and monitors CNA documentation when they provide restorative care to residents. What you will do Maintains appropriate medical records for each patient. Documents restorative care in EMR. Monitors for compliance in documentation of CNA's providing restorative care. Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity. Performs restortative care programs outlined for each resident as determined by the interdisciplinary team. Provides feedback to team. Utilitzes opportunities to coach staff on restorative care and safety techniques. Follows universal precautions, proper infection control, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required)
  • CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year Restorative nursing experience (Preferred)
