About The Position

A day in the life: Our Restoration Equipment Operator is detail-oriented and focused. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery to support concrete restoration projects. This role demands extensive travel, with 95% of the time spent at various job sites. The company covers all travel expenses, lodging, and meals (excluding the first meal during travel). On a given day, as a Restoration Equipment Operator, you will: Operate equipment such as excavators, trackhoes, wheel loaders, walk-behind and ride-on concrete power trowels, large floor grinders, and skid steers to perform tasks including excavating, grading, loading and unloading materials, concrete placement, surface preparation, and restoration. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Accurately document project progress, equipment usage, and maintenance activities. Skillfully restore concrete surfaces or apply new finishes according to project requirements. This includes patching, repairing cracks, and refinishing surfaces using epoxy injections, shotcrete applications, and other techniques. As well as wet/dry cutting, prepping, grinding, and applying coating systems to concrete slabs. Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve project objectives. Adhere to company work safety policies. Other miscellaneous duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License & Auto Insurance: Required for this travel-intensive role.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating equipment in restoration or related construction fields.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for 8–12 hours daily.
  • Consistently meet or exceed project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Willingness to work in varying conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, humidity, dust, and concrete.
  • Demonstrate good hand/eye coordination, be able to follow directions closely, be able to maneuver the equipment in different situations, perform a walk-around inspection of equipment and be safety-oriented
  • Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive relations and act courteous/respectful of others
  • Equipment Operation Proficiency: Knowledge of equipment settings, limitations, and optimal usage for concrete restoration tasks.
  • Compliance and Standards Adherence: Strict adherence to industry standards and safety guidelines when performing restoration tasks.
  • Manual Dexterity and Coordination: Exceptional hand-eye coordination to handle tools, apply finishes, and execute detailed repairs in tight spaces or awkward positions.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, supporting and assisting colleagues as needed to achieve collective project goals.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility in adapting to changing business needs and schedules.
