About The Position

Spartan Emergency Water Removal is a USMC Disabled Veteran-founded company specializing in water, fire, mold, storm, environmental, and reconstruction services. We proudly serve residential and commercial customers throughout Northern Virginia and surrounding areas. Our team is built on accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to doing the job right. We are seeking an experienced Restoration Crew Chief to lead field crews in mitigation and contents operations. This role is responsible for managing job site activities, supervising technicians, ensuring quality work, and serving as the on-site representative for our company. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and a strong leader who can maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, documentation, and customer service.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of restoration, mitigation, contents handling, or related experience.
  • Previous leadership or crew supervision experience required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • IICRC WRT certification - required.
  • Strong knowledge of water mitigation and drying principles.
  • Experience with contents handling and inventory processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate restoration equipment and tools safely.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various environments.
  • Comfortable working in confided spaces, varying temperatures, and job site conditions.
  • Ability to wear PPE, including respirators and protective gear.
  • Exposure to dust, debris, noise, and environmental hazards at job sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications - IICRC FSRT, ODR, ASD, AMRT, OSHA 10 - preferred
  • Familiarity with restoration software (Albi, MICA, ContentsTrack)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise technicians on mitigation and contents job sites.
  • Perform and oversee water mitigation services, including extraction, drying, demolition, and cleaning.
  • Manage packing, inventory, and handling of customers contents.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites.
  • Communicate job progress, changes, and issues to Project Managers.
  • Ensure accurate daily documentation, including photos, moisture readings, and job updates.
  • Operate and maintain trucks, tools, and restoration equipment.
  • Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Assist with warehouse operations, inventory, and job preparation.
  • Train and mentor technicians while reinforcing safety and company standards.
