About The Position

The Hilton Garden Inn is seeking a dedicated Restaurant Server to provide exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will serve food and alcoholic beverages, ensuring attentive and personalized service throughout each guest’s visit. Key Responsibilities Serve food and alcoholic beverages to guests. Set tables according to the type of event and established service standards. Answer guest questions regarding menu selections and make recommendations as appropriate. Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability. Relay additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen team. Record transactions accurately in the POS system at the time of order. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverage. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, as well as china, glassware, and utensils throughout the day. Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, and maintaining organization. Present a physical and accurate check to guests and process payment efficiently. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. Required Qualifications Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift. Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance; and objects over 50 pounds with assistance. Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and navigate stairs or service ramps. Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
