About The Position

The Restaurant Team Member at Whataburger is responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, managing payments, and maintaining cleanliness in the restaurant. This role emphasizes teamwork and collaboration to ensure timely and quality service to customers while adhering to food safety standards.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, lift, shake, stir, pour, carry, and push.
• Must be able to read (orders on tickets, menu board, receipts, etc.).
• Frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, cleaning and sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items.
• Frequent washing of hands.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Food Handlers Certification.

Responsibilities

• Cheerfully serve customers delivering accurate orders on time.
• Prepare and deliver food products following quality standards for food preparation, handling, and food safety.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure that all shifts are covered, and communicate issues to the shift leader, supervisor, or store manager.
• Operate Point of Sale cashiering system and handle payments.
• Perform cleaning duties (washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, cleaning tables, etc.) maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of the work environment.
• Present a well-groomed, uniformed, and professional appearance.
