About The Position

The Restaurant Supervisor at Westwind Tavern is a key role responsible for overseeing the dining room operations, ensuring high-quality service, and managing staff effectively. Requirements

  • Experience with POS or similar system.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a food and beverage environment.
  • Valid Food Handler's Card.
  • Basic and Manager Alcohol Training certification.
  • Strong training skills and ability to interact with fellow employees in a team effort.
  • Knowledge of service and safety protocols.
  • Ability to control costs and maintain high-quality standards set forth by management.
  • Ability to control seating and layout of the dining room.

Nice To Haves

  • First-hand knowledge of guest relations and interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff and work various positions during busy times as needed.
  • Monitor service to ensure food, drinks, and service are acceptable.
  • Greet guests and provide management presence on the floor to handle customer issues.
  • Resolve questions between front of house and kitchen staff and provide assistance to staff.
  • Ensure dining room is set up and closed down properly at the start and end of shifts.
  • Maintain all closing steps related to cash and credit card transactions.
  • Prepare work schedules and associated paperwork for employees and accounting.
