About The Position

Margaritaville Casino & Resort Bossier City is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to join their team in the gaming industry. This role is responsible for assisting in meeting financial goals, supervising all restaurant employees according to company policies and procedures, and managing payroll controls and employee scheduling based on business volume. The supervisor will implement training programs for new and existing employees, attend required Quality & Training classes, and anticipate the needs of both guests and internal staff. Key duties include maintaining accurate daily shift reports, understanding forecasted daily cover counts and budgeted payroll, and attending all scheduled meetings. The supervisor will conduct daily preshift meetings to communicate business volume, entertainment schedules, and marketing information to employees. This position requires fostering a harmonious working environment, interacting professionally with employees and guests to gather feedback on operations and service delivery, and ensuring the restaurant outlet is clean and well-maintained with crew members actively working at all times. Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a responsible vendor’s card and an ABO card.
  • 2-year Associate degree or 1-3 years of practical experience in Hospitality Management in a high-volume operation.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, and percentages and apply to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems with multiple variables.
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate work authorization per local, state, federal, and gaming regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a Buffet and/or Casino food and beverage facility.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in meeting established financial goals.
  • Supervise all restaurant employees in accordance with Margaritaville policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining payroll controls and scheduling of employees in conjunction with business volume and established guidelines.
  • Implement training programs for new employees and existing employees.
  • Attend required Quality & Training classes from HR or Training Department.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs as well as internal guests.
  • Keep accurate daily shift reports and communicate to Manager/Director as required.
  • Understand forecasted daily cover counts and budgeted payroll.
  • Attend all meetings as scheduled by the Director of Food and Beverage or Manager.
  • Conduct daily preshift meeting to communicate business volume, entertainment schedule, and Marketing information to employees.
  • Provide harmonious working environment while being sensitive to the needs of the employees and the guests.
  • Interact with employees and guests in professional and consistent manner to solicit feedback on operations and execution of service delivery.
  • Complete related job duties assigned by the Manager/Director.
  • Ensure that outlet is maintained and clean during all periods of operation.
  • Ensure that crew members are working at all times.
