Rock’N Fish is hiring a Restaurant Supervisor! Rock’N Fish, a proud member of the Zislis Group — a collection of luxury boutique hotels and inspired restaurants — is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. Rock’N Fish restaurant, famous for its steaks, seafood, and spirits, has been a local favorite for over 25 years. Located directly on the Manhattan Beach Pier at the ocean’s edge, Rock’N Fish features indoor and outdoor dining, 150 seats, and serves approximately 350–400 covers per day. Our ideal candidate is currently a Restaurant Lead or Supervisor with a strong background in full-service, high-volume or upscale casual dining. This position is for you if you have: A minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Restaurant Supervisor, Floor Lead, or Manager A sincere passion for providing exceptional hospitality to both guests and team members Experience in full-service, high-volume restaurant environments Strong knowledge of food, beer, wine, spirits, service standards, and labor cost management A positive, solutions-oriented leadership style with a knack for developing talent Working knowledge of California wage & hour laws Strong communication, organization, time-management, and follow-up skills A sense of urgency paired with professionalism and composure under pressure Demonstrated longevity and a proven track record with previous employers A strong sense of integrity — doing the right thing even when no one is watching A desire to grow, learn, and advance into a Restaurant Manager role Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all dining room operations during your shift, ensuring excellence in service, hospitality, and ambiance
  • Act as the “Mayor of the Village,” creating a welcoming, energetic, and fun atmosphere for guests and staff
  • Lead by example on the floor by supporting guests and team members
  • Set the tone for engagement, positivity, focus, and teamwork for the Front of House team
  • Ensure compliance with all California wage & hour laws
  • Maintain a positive and cooperative working relationship with the Back of House
  • Support hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, recognition, and labor control efforts
  • Assist management with inventory and controllable costs
  • Participate in manager meetings and contribute to overall restaurant success
  • Above all else, embody gracious hospitality — retaining top talent and ensuring every guest leaves raving about their experience and excited to return
