About The Position

Restaurant Sous Chef – Omaha Pay Rate: $26/hour Schedule: Must have open availability SUMMARY The Restaurant Sous Chef (Culinary Operations Supervisor) supports daily kitchen operations by supervising culinary staff, maintaining high food quality standards, and ensuring a clean, safe, and productive work environment. This role is responsible for staff training, scheduling, menu development, and collaboration with Food & Beverage leadership to deliver exceptional guest experiences. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Practices, supports, and upholds the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming, LLC. Supervises daily culinary operations to ensure high-quality food production and presentation. Trains, coaches, and develops culinary team members to meet performance standards. Manages work schedules to maintain proper staffing levels and compliance with required certifications and work cards. Provides ongoing feedback, performance coaching, and leadership to assigned teams. Assists in developing menu items, recipes, and production guides. Collaborates with front and back of house management to promote food safety, workplace safety, and service excellence. Oversees event and group setups and breakdowns, assigning duties as needed. Ensures compliance with all company policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations. Attends required meetings and training sessions, including safety training. Promotes positive guest and employee relations. Maintains a professional appearance at all times. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Associate degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Eight (8) years of culinary management experience in a large, multi-outlet Casino/Hotel environment
  • Five (5) years of supervisory experience required
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage planning and production procedures
  • Demonstrated commitment to guest service excellence and ethical conduct
  • Ability to secure and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License
  • Food Handler Certification
  • ServSafe Certification
  • TIPS Alcohol Certification (as required)
