About The Position

The Restaurant Shift Manager plays a crucial role in assisting the Restaurant General Manager with the overall operations of the restaurant, focusing on both preparation and service. This position involves managing daily operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and service, and maintaining compliance with safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Effective communication in English, both verbal and written.
  • Previous experience in a high-caliber Lounge.
  • Experience in a high-volume establishment with high standards of food and beverage knowledge.
  • Ability to compile, compute, and analyze data for reports.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
  • Knowledge of computer programs including Word, Excel, Windows, and LMS.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the Lounge according to established policies and procedures.
  • Establish and administer training programs for new employees.
  • Develop and administer controls for all phases of the Lounge to ensure profitability while maintaining standards.
  • Schedule staff efficiently to ensure high standards of food preparation and service.
  • Instruct personnel on safety policies and procedures, ensuring hazards are eliminated.
  • Monitor food and cocktail presentation, addressing deviations from standards with the Chef on Duty.
  • Respond to customer complaints promptly to ensure corrections are made.
  • Compile annual budgets, variance reports, and other necessary management reports.
  • Monitor cashier work to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Oversee follow-up work to prevent recurrence of cashier errors, collaborating with the Business Office and Internal Audit.
  • Counsel and guide personnel in their duties, preparing performance reviews.
  • Recommend personnel changes including hiring, promotions, and salary adjustments.
  • Interview potential employees recommended by Personnel.
  • Analyze monthly, quarterly, and yearly P&L statements.
  • Act as a liaison with vendors and partners.
