About The Position

As a Sous Chef and Restaurant Shift Leader, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Restaurant Leaders to achieve culinary and hospitality excellence in our scratch-based kitchen. This position is designed for individuals who have a genuine passion for cooking and a desire to lead a team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. You will be responsible for mastering every station in the kitchen, ensuring that recipes, processes, and procedures are executed flawlessly. Your leadership will be instrumental in training and developing our Chefs-In-Training, who will look to you for guidance and support. You will actively participate in pre-shift meetings, manage shifts effectively, and ensure that all tasks across the restaurant are completed on time and to the highest standards. In this role, you will elevate and motivate your team by modeling culinary expertise, warm hospitality, and a positive attitude. You will train fellow teammates on each station, ensuring consistency and adherence to our standards. Your responsibilities will include managing prep lists, waste logs, and participating in food inventory, all while maintaining close communication with your Chef de Cuisine. You will also be responsible for running successful restaurant shifts, delegating tasks appropriately, and ensuring that the restaurant is opened and closed efficiently. Additionally, you will troubleshoot guest concerns, oversee food presentation and order accuracy, and uphold food safety standards.
