They set shift goals, assign tasks to team members, ensure processes are properly followed, and respond to guests' needs.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Available to work a minimum of 5 days and 32 to 40 hours per week.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Successful completion of background check.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others.
  • Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all training requirements including Zaxbys Shift Leader Development Plan, Food Safety Certification, and any additional training required by Zax LLC.
  • Create a culture of high-performance and train and coach team members to meet all company standards.
  • Mentor, coach and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to your General Manager.
  • Prioritize the guest and team member experience and resolve complaints and concerns in a friendly and respectful manner.
  • Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example.
  • Communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet goals and perform to their highest ability level.
  • Delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during a shift.
  • Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with all Zaxbys Franchising LLC and Zax LLC guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld.
  • Enhance guest experiences by ensuring that team members satisfy and exceed guest expectations.
  • Receive and reconcile truck deliveries, ensure product is properly stocked, and complete daily inventory counts.
  • Manage food production and quality by monitoring prepping, cooking, and holding processes and taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Track food safety and quality throughout the shift and ensure guests receive accurate orders that meet company standards and guests' satisfaction.
  • Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing duties are complete.
  • Collaborate with management team to develop goals and report back to management on goal progress.
  • Ensure processes, policies, and procedures are properly followed throughout daily operations.
  • Follow company cash management policies.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines.
  • Utilize management tools and keep neat, accurate, and current records.
  • Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description.
  • Ensure the team works safely and follows all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Immediately report all human resources and risk management concerns to your General Manager and District Manager.
  • Escalate other concerns to your supervisor when appropriate.
  • Perform all other duties necessary to ensure restaurant operations function properly.
